Here at Kidz Smile Pediatric Dentistry, our goal is to make every dental visit pleasant and informative!
We strive to treat every child as a member of our family by providing gentle and dependable attention to each child’s individual needs. We work hard to ensure that each child is comfortable and at ease throughout his or her visit.
Through a strong emphasis on prevention and education, we hope to establish a life long commitment to optimal dental health for your child.
At Kidz Smile Pediatric Dentistry, we take great pride in ensuring that you and your child have a positive and comfortable experience.
Whether your child is timid, afraid, or excited for his or her first visit, we strive to immerse your child in a caring atmosphere in order to create a pleasant dental experience. Parents are always welcomed to accompany their child during their visit and are encouraged to be a part of oral hygiene education. We strongly believe good dental health among children is accomplished in a team effort. This includes effective dental care from your dentist, consistent dental hygiene at home, constant parent involvement, and a willingness to cooperate from the patient. We hope to build life long relationships where the child is comfortable asking questions and actively interested in achieving optimal oral health.
The initial time spent with your child will include, but is not limited to, home care instruction, nutritional counseling, growth & development evaluation, orthodontic evaluation, and a comprehensive exam that will outline existing dental concerns. During your child’s appointment, we will determine an individualized dental plan specific to your child. We look forward to meeting you and your smile!
How to prepare your child for the first visit?
In preparation for your child’s first visit at Kidz Smile Pediatric Dentistry, it is important to reiterate how exciting this new experience will be!
You should tell your child how we will teach him or her about healthy teeth, how to be a super brusher, and how to make healthy dietary choices. Let your child know that we will provide a brand new toothbrush, plus super awesome prizes and stickers!
You don’t want your child to grow up fearing the dentist, so our advice to you is to avoid using any words that might make your child afraid. We recommend avoid saying anything like “poke,” “hurt,” “drill,” or “pull,” even if you know your child may need a more in-depth dental treatment.
Expect your child to do well and enjoy the first visit and, chances are, he or she will!
We are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Our entire staff works exceptionally well with children. We want the children entering our practice to associate the dentist office as a good place, instead of an intimidating and scary place to be. We take our time with each and every one of our patients to ensure your child experiences personalized, fun, and effective care.
In addition to treating children, we will work with parents to ensure that their children are taking proper care of their teeth at home. Optimal oral hygiene extends farther than just our practice, and it is our job to teach, educate, and treat every parent and child that walks through our doors. We look forward to seeing you!
